The acid in kombucha can irritate your esophagus and stomach lining if you’re drinking kombucha a lot at once or on an empty stomach although it is covered by limited evidence according to human studies on effects of kombucha. A lot of sugar also isn’t good for you in large quantities. That said it is not recommended for pregnant women
